A bstract We study the formalism of Kosower-Maybee-O’Connell (KMOC) to extract classical impulse from quantum amplitude in context partial wave expansion a 2-to-2 elastic scattering. take two complementary approaches establish connection. The first one takes advantage Clebsch-Gordan relations for base amplitudes expansion. second is novel adaptation traditional saddle point approximation semi-classical limit. In former, an interference between S-matrix and its conjugate leads large degree cancellation such that handle rapidly oscillating integral no longer needed. As example with non-orbital angular momentum, we apply our methods charge-monopole scattering problem probe limit reproduce both angles characterizing spinor basis expansion, non-relativistic avatar spinor-helicity variables, plays crucial role throughout computations.

Dips in partial wave amplitudes from final state interactions.
We consider the dip-peak structures in the J=0 partial wave amplitudes for processes γγ → WW and γγ, gg → tt taking into account the corresponding Born term process and the rescattering process where the intermediate state is rescattered through the exchange of Higgs resonance state in the direct channel. Near a direct channel resonance, final state interactions can be important even for relati...
متن کاملPartial-wave amplitudes and multiparticle production
Recursion relations for integrals of amplitudes over the phase space, i.e. for partial wave amplitudes, are introduced. In their simplest form these integrals are proportional to the s-wave amplitudes and represent rigorous lower bounds on the total cross sections. The connection with classical field equations in D dimensions is established. Previous results on multiparticle amplitudes are easi...
متن کاملPartial wave decomposition of pion and photoproduction amplitudes
Partial wave amplitudes for production and decay of baryon resonances are constructed in the framework of the operator expansion method. The approach is fully relativistically invariant and allow us to perform combined analyses of different reactions imposing directly analyticity and unitarity constraints. All formulas are given explicitly in the form used by the Crystal Barrel collaboration in...
متن کاملOn threshold amplitudes II: Amplitudes nullification via classical symmetries
The Ward identities for amplitudes at the tree level are derived from symmetries of the corresponding classical dynamical systems. The result are aplied to some 2 → n amplitudes supported by the Lódź University grant No. 269. supported by KBN grant No. 5 P03B 060 21 1 I Introducion Threshold amplitudes provide one of the rare examples of problems in quantum field theory which are both interesti...
متن کاملPartial Observables in Extended Systems
We consider “unphysical”, kinematic observables that do not commute with the constraints of a gauge system in the context of an extension of the system. We show that these observables, while not predictable, can nevertheless be said to have a physical interpretation. They implement Rovelli’s concept of partial and relational observables. We investigate the propositional structure of these obser...
